Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity designed for an Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting students’ growth and independence within the educational setting. This full-time role entails providing vital occupational therapy services to students ranging from 3K through 12th grade in a variety of school sites across the Chesterfield County area. You will collaborate alongside educators and families to help students thrive both academically and functionally.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid OT licensure (or eligibility) in South Carolina
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Proficiency in conducting screenings, evaluations, and implementing IEPs
- Strong consultation, collaboration, and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable working with diverse ability levels and traveling within attendance areas as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform occupational therapy screenings and comprehensive evaluations for students identified for services
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student-specific needs
- Deliver direct OT services as outlined in IEPs, supporting both fine and gross motor development, sensory processing, and functional school skills
- Consult with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
- Document assessments, progress, and service delivery in accordance with school district protocols
- Travel to multiple school sites within designated attendance areas (Pageland, Chesterfield, Cheraw, Jefferson, McBee)
This contract spans the academic year, starting July 22, 2026, and ending May 28, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
