Based in the Chesterfield area, with potential assignments in schools around Pageland, Jefferson, Cheraw, and McBee, this full-time position provides meaningful support to children from 3K through 12th grade during the 2026-2027 academic year.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations for students, tailoring your approach to a diverse population with varying needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to promote student growth and participation within the school environment.
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to promote the best possible outcomes for each student.
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in alignment with students’ IEP goals.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines for school-based occupational therapy services.
- Travel to different school sites within the district’s attendance areas as needed to provide services.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- A current Occupational Therapy license for the state.
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with a range of ages and ability levels.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and organizational skills to meet varying student needs and schedules.
- Comfort navigating multiple sites as part of the job.
The contract runs from July 22, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37-40 hours per week across five days.
