School Occupational Therapist | Paradise, California
Step into a rewarding contract role as a school-based Occupational Therapist, focusing on students’ success across multiple educational settings throughout the Oroville and surrounding Paradise area. The assignment spans the full school year, beginning August 10 and continuing through May 28, 2027, with opportunities to work across several school sites—mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between schools.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Prior experience working in K-12 school settings highly preferred
- Solid knowledge of IEPs, therapy documentation, and progress reporting
- Exceptional organizational skills and flexible approach to travel between sites
- Strong communication and collaboration with educators, families, and students
- Ability to provide hands-on therapy, conduct assessments, and customize intervention plans
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Evaluate student performance and create tailored intervention goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support student participation
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and reports
- Maintain accurate, timely records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Travel between designated school locations; mileage will be reimbursed
