Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist (OTR or COTA as applicable)
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Comfortable working with students across K-12, including elementary, middle, and high school
- Knowledge of IEPs, goal setting, and progress documentation
- Compassionate, flexible, and organized in a fast-paced educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, planning, and direct therapy services to students as outlined in each Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to support students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive skills necessary for classroom success
- Collaborate with educational teams to deliver instructional strategies and accommodations
- Observe and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating updates with teachers and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the achievement of students’ goals
- Offer support and training to staff and caregivers by sharing strategies and resources
