Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Ability to conduct comprehensive screenings, assessments, and evaluations
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and educational staff
- Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively interpret and present assessment results
- Creative problem-solver with enthusiasm for supporting student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and thorough evaluations of students
- Analyze and interpret assessment results, communicating findings clearly to IEP teams and parents
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and 504 plans to address students’ individual needs
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, supporting their academic and developmental goals
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom activities
- Provide guidance and oversight to COTAs if assigned
- Maintain all required documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
