Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Valid and current Arizona Occupational Therapist License required
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Previous school-based experience highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to adapt and individualize therapy for diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop interventions and implement strategies that enhance students’ learning and participation
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Design individualized activities and therapies to promote motor skills, independence, and sensory integration
- Advise and educate staff and parents on best practices to support students in the classroom setting
