Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience working within a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP documentation and special education processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with faculty, families, and students
- Adaptability and creativity to support diverse student needs and learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for K-12 students
- Implement interventions in both group and one-on-one settings to help students achieve academic and functional goals
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure therapy plans are integrated into the classroom setting
- Document progress, maintain up-to-date records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student independence and participation
