Occupational Therapist School Setting - Petaluma, CA
Make a positive impact as a contract Occupational Therapist providing teletherapy and on-site services to students. This opportunity is open for an immediate start through the end of the school year, working full-time Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours per week. You’ll work primarily with secondary students, including middle school, high school, and transition-aged young adults (18-22 years old), managing a dynamic caseload of 39 direct and 37 consult-only students, along with a few assessments. Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role is highly preferred
- Proficient in teletherapy platforms and comfortable providing remote services
- Experience supporting secondary-aged students, including transition programs
- Skilled in conducting assessments and writing effective IEP goals
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators and families
- Organization and time management to handle a diverse caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Evaluate students’ functional needs and document progress
- Complete assessments and build goal-driven treatment plans
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and teachers
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise in OT strategies
This W2 contract position starts at $50+ per hour and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance options, as well as a 401(k) with employer match.
