Occupational Therapist School Setting - Petaluma, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a full-time Occupational Therapist in an educational setting near Petaluma, CA. This assignment is available to begin as soon as possible and will extend through the end of the school year. The majority of your caseload will involve secondary-aged students, though some elementary students may also require your expertise.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current Occupational Therapist license valid in California
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload across different age groups
- Comfortable with collaboration, documentation, and adapting strategies for student success
What you’ll do:
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop therapy goals
- Design and implement individualized intervention plans within the school setting
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure supportive classroom environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress reports as required
- Deliver both direct therapy and consultative services to secondary and some elementary-aged students
- Offer strategies and resources to families and school personnel to foster student independence
