What You'll Bring:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A passion for working with students across a variety of ages and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students to identify developmental, physical, and sensory needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student participation and progress in the educational environment
- Provide direct therapy, consultative support, and intervention strategies in alignment with IEPs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records according to school and professional standards
- Deliver in-services or trainings for school personnel as needed to support students’ occupational therapy needs
