Bring your expertise and commitment to making a difference as a contract Occupational Therapist working with school-aged students in a dynamic educational environment near Philadelphia, PA. This position supports students in the Low Incidence Program (including autistic support, life skills, and multiple disabilities) at a specialized education center in Broomall. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct therapy and effective support for learners from kindergarten through age 22.
Key Qualifications:
- Current OT license in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, particularly those with autism, life skills needs, and multiple disabilities
- Skilled in managing diverse caseloads and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage detailed documentation and paperwork
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Professional, adaptable, and dedicated to supporting student development
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy to students in the Low Incidence Program
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized interventions
- Complete timely and accurate documentation per school requirements
- Collaborate with a broad team (educators, therapists, families) on student progress and intervention strategies
- Support students in activities that enhance participation, motor skills, and independence
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and IEP development
- Maintain ongoing communication with all stakeholders
