Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Demonstrated experience working with school-aged individuals who have autism, multiple disabilities, or significant developmental needs
- Confident in adapting strategies for students with varying abilities and needs
- Skilled at collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including special education staff and families
- Highly organized and able to effectively balance direct services with the completion of paperwork and documentation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services within a school setting, focusing on functional and educational goals
- Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and program requirements
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, consultations, and collaborative sessions
- Adjust plans as needed to help students achieve their highest level of independence in academic and life skills routines
- Provide staff training and family consultation to support student progress
