The role is contract-based, with a 40 hour per week schedule, working closely with children in an elementary school setting.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active and current OT license
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school or pediatric environment
- Familiarity with assessments, IEP processes, and documentation in an educational setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt activities to individual needs and learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement related to fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs and IEP goals
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation of services, progress, and communication with stakeholders
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to provide strategies and adaptations that support participation in school activities
- Deliver both one-on-one and group interventions, focusing on maximizing independence and participation in the school community
- Participate in meetings and conferences as required to advocate for students’ needs
