Your work will focus on supporting motor skill development, fostering independence, and promoting participation in school activities for students in grades Pre-K through 8.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license
- Experience with pediatric populations in school or similar settings
- Strong skills in assessment and intervention for fine and gross motor development
- Ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans
- Comfortable working with students from Pre-K to middle school
- Robust communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine students’ motor and functional abilities
- Develop and deliver targeted interventions for fine motor, gross motor, and sensory processing needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational staff to integrate supports into students’ daily routines
- Educate and engage with families to maximize progress and carryover of skills
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Contribute to IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or modifications as needed
- Support classrooms by developing resources and strategies for inclusive learning environments
