Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, parents, and staff
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and implement individualized treatment plans
- Commitment to fostering student independence and functional skills in educational contexts
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs and 504 plans
- Assess student needs through standardized and informal evaluations
- Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Develop and implement therapy interventions designed to promote access to the curriculum
- Document progress, participate in team meetings, and contribute to evaluations and re-evaluations
- Support staff and student training on adaptive strategies, tools, and accommodations
