Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist serving elementary students in a collaborative educational environment. This full-time, in-person position runs through the 2026-2027 academic year, supporting students and faculty members dedicated to growth and learning. You'll take the lead for a single elementary school with a manageable caseload of 32 students, providing individualized occupational therapy services that empower young learners to reach their fullest potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active ESA certification and WA OT License
- Completion of fingerprinting through OSPI
- Previous experience as an OT in school settings preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning, developmental, and physical needs
- Ability to complete timely, compliant documentation and case management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary students based on IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate closely with educators and staff to integrate OT recommendations into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on accommodations and student progress
- Maintain accurate therapy logs and required paperwork in line with school district protocols
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student engagement
