Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, active OT license
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, especially with K-8 populations
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites
- Organizational skills and flexibility in adapting to a dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to K-8 students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess and document students’ functional skills, sensory processing, and fine/gross motor abilities
- Collaborate with special education teams and general education teachers across two school sites
- Develop and implement strategies to support students’ participation in classroom and school activities
- Offer consultation and training to staff and families on accommodations and interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, evaluations, and contribute to student progress reports
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
