Available Assignments:
- 0.8 FTE Occupational Therapist located in South Seattle, working the full academic year from August 28 to June 18.
- 1.0 FTE Occupational Therapist in Southwest Seattle, beginning January 4th and continuing through the end of the school year.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active OT license in Washington State
- Experience in school settings preferred, specifically delivering therapy services to K-12 populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability within a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine students' needs for occupational therapy
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans supporting students’ academic and functional success
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and support staff
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations
- Support students in developing fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills
