School Occupational Therapist | Ridgefield, Washington

Step into a rewarding contract role providing occupational therapy services to K-12 students across multiple schools in the Ridgefield area. This opportunity lets you make a direct impact on the lives of approximately 55 students, working with a variety of needs in a supportive educational environment. The assignment runs from early January through mid-June, providing stable hours (35 hours per week) and the potential for contract renewal for the following school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for practice in Washington State
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification required
- Experience providing therapeutic support to school-aged children, preferably within a school setting
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy plans for a diverse caseload and effectively manage time across multiple school locations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT services to K-12 students as outlined in their IEPs
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop appropriate intervention goals
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff, administrators, and parents regarding student needs and progress
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment by providing staff education and collaboration
