Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state license in Occupational Therapy is required
- IVP Fingerprint Card (must be current)
- Prefer initial certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience working in schools is strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to various student needs and settings
- Organized, self-motivated, and flexible in managing an itinerant caseload
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs in accordance with their IEPs
- Travel between a few designated school sites as assigned
- Assess, plan, and deliver direct and consultative therapy interventions
- Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to support student goals
- Educate staff and families about strategies for generalizing skills across environments
