Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with educators, families, and students
- Experience working within educational settings is a plus, but dedicated new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Ability to design and implement individualized intervention plans
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging atmosphere for students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and needs in motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support student success across classroom and school settings
- Develop and update therapy goals, maintain accurate records, and communicate progress with staff and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Promote student independence, confidence, and participation in school routines
