Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active California Occupational Therapist license is required
- Direct experience working within California schools is essential
- Proficient in administering the Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOT-3) and Peabody Developmental Motor Scales to students aged 3–22 with varied and multiple disabilities
- Strong data analysis skills to address parent concerns and inform service recommendations
- Self-motivated with the ability to create and manage a flexible schedule independently, adapting to changing caseload requirements
- Comfortable working in an itinerant role, with minimal onsite supervision
- Experience working across the K–12 spectrum, including students with mild to severe disabilities
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus, but not a requirement
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive OT assessments, consultations, and interventions for a fluctuating caseload within the district
- Communicate results and recommendations effectively to parents, teachers, and IEP teams, using data to support service decisions
- Travel to multiple school sites as caseload needs fluctuate, delivering high-quality services independently
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all legal and district guidelines
