This flexible, three-day-per-week position offers an adaptable schedule, allowing you to coordinate your hours around school start and end times: elementary schools from 8:45 am to 3:37 pm, the middle school from 7:55 am to 2:48 pm, and the high school from 7:10 am to 2:04 pm. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Michigan licensure/certification as a School Occupational Therapist or School Social Worker
- Experience in school settings, with strong understanding of K-12 populations
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload and prioritize varying student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support staff
- Flexibility to navigate between multiple sites and adjust to each school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students, adapting strategies to meet IEP and 504 plan goals
- Conduct assessments and collaborate on intervention planning and progress monitoring
- Support students’ social-emotional, behavioral, and functional skill development
- Partner with teachers, families, and special education teams to ensure consistent care and advocacy
