Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Louisiana is required
- Prior experience in school-based OT settings is highly valued
- Comfortable traveling between four school locations to meet student needs
- Ready to supervise and mentor a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Skilled in conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and documenting outcomes
- Proven ability to work on interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site occupational therapy for students on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Complete PreK evaluations on Fridays as requested
- Travel between high schools and an elementary site, managing caseload efficiently
- Supervise assigned COTA to ensure high-quality interventions
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation per school policies and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student progress
