Florida Occupational Therapist Needed for Maternity Leave
School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) – Florida | 2026-2027 School Year
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based opportunity in Florida for the 2026-2027 school year beginning in August 2026. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a supportive educational team while helping students build the skills needed for success in the classroom and daily activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced school-based therapists, as well as Occupational Therapists looking to transition from clinical, outpatient, rehabilitation, or medical settings into the school environment.
Position Details
Full-time Maternity Leave Position (37.5 hours/week)
Assignment dates: 8/10/26-10/30/26
Onsite position
Itinerant role, will likely be supporting multiple school sites
Caseload and school assignment discussed during interview
Supportive district and collaborative therapy team
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEP goals
Conduct evaluations, assessments, and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting
Requirements
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy
Active Florida Occupational Therapy license
Ability to work onsite within a school-based setting
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required
Open to candidates transitioning from clinical, outpatient, rehabilitation, or hospital settings
