Requirements for success in this role include:
- Current, active Missouri Occupational Therapy license
- Experience working as an OT in a school or pediatric setting
- Ability to thrive on-site, collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families
- Commitment to timelines for credentialing, including district fingerprinting and technology forms
- Flexibility to support multiple schools (final assignments to be determined)
- Compassionate approach to engaging with school-aged children and adolescents
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students, following IEP goals and individualized plans
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions aimed at supporting students’ ability to access the curriculum
- Consult and collaborate with educators, administration, and families on student progress and accommodations
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
- Adapt to different classroom settings and a diverse student population
- Support students within the Normandy School District and broader district network as needed
