Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience in a K-12 school environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Proficient in developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Comfortable working on Individualized Education Programs (IEP) teams and maintaining thorough documentation
- Adaptability and creativity in problem-solving a varied caseload
- Familiarity with assistive technology, sensory integration, and behavioral strategies a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations to assess fine motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Develop individualized therapy goals aligned with students’ academic and developmental objectives
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the classroom and other school settings
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy into daily routines
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide resources and training to teachers and caregivers to support carry-over of skills
