Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services in a school-based setting near Saint Louis, MO. This contract opening offers you the chance to work on-site, supporting students during an anticipated 12-week FMLA leave with the possibility for extension should the need arise. The position begins October 14, 2026, and is expected to continue through late January 2027.
You’ll engage with a diverse range of students, helping them build skills for greater independence and success in the classroom environment. The exact number of schools assigned will be communicated as details are finalized.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Missouri is required
- Experience in a school-based OT role strongly preferred
- Must be able to provide fingerprinting documentation (TCN number) as part of credentialing
- Comfortable signing and returning required district technology forms
- Background working with children and adolescents across varying needs
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy interventions
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes according to district policies
- Adapt strategies to best meet the needs of each student on your caseload
- Participate fully in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as needed
- Remain flexible to serve at one or multiple campuses as determined by the district
