This assignment spans approximately 12 weeks, providing essential coverage for an FMLA leave within the district. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Missouri Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience providing therapy services in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and ability to tailor interventions to suit individual student needs
- Timely completion of district-mandated fingerprinting and submission of TCN confirmation number
- Completion and return of required technology use form
- Adaptable and responsive to the evolving needs of students across possibly multiple school sites
Assignment Responsibilities:
- Assessing, developing, and implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for K-12 students
- Delivering direct and consultative therapy in alignment with each student's educational program
- Collaborating closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support optimal student progress
- Recording and maintaining thorough, timely documentation per district guidelines
- Participating in meetings, IEP planning, and professional development as appropriate
- Supporting transition planning and accommodations for students preparing for classroom or school changes
