School Occupational Therapist - Saint Paul, Minnesota
Bring your passion for supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a collaborative educational setting near Saint Paul, MN. We have three contract positions available: two full-time roles for the entire academic year and one long-term substitute opportunity for the first several months (exact dates to be announced). Each position offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek, working within a single building, supporting a caseload of 20–40 students in specialized settings.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Minnesota
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to inclusive educational practices and student development
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet a wide range of student needs
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students, including assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Document therapy sessions and student progress clearly and efficiently
- Conduct services primarily in a dedicated educational setting, ensuring continuity of care
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and professional development activities
