The role involves providing Occupational Therapy services 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, to students with Setting IV special education needs during a staff member’s leave of absence.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist credential with documented school-based OT experience
- Previous exposure to supporting students receiving Setting IV special education services is highly preferred
- Successful completion of all agency onboarding procedures and district background checks is required
- Reliable transportation for daily commute is a must
- Ability to work within the school’s schedule and uphold commitment for the length of the assignment
- Positive record from prior placements, particularly if already credentialed within the district
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services tailored to students’ individual education plans in a school-based, inclusive environment
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and district requirements
- Engage in team meetings and contribute professional insights to student support discussions
- Adapt to dynamic needs while maintaining clear communication with district and agency representatives
