In this position, you will work directly with students receiving special education support, including those in Setting IV placements. Service settings and caseloads may vary, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience that allows you to utilize your expertise in diverse educational environments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with prior school-based OT experience
- Comfortable supporting students in special education settings, including Setting IV
- Ability to work onsite and adapt to different caseloads and service settings per assignment
- Successful completion of agency onboarding and district background check
- Reliable transportation for onsite duties
- Commitment to the assigned school schedule and duration of contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop individualized occupational therapy plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to support student progress
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in classroom, therapy, and specialized settings
- Document progress, maintain records, and contribute support to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adjust interventions as necessary to meet student goals and program objectives
