This contract position provides crucial coverage for a 12-week FMLA leave, serving the Normandy schools, with the possibility of extension if needed. The assignment spans from mid-October through late January, with full-time hours on-site.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Missouri required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric caseloads preferred
- Ability to manage diverse student needs across multiple campuses
- Thorough understanding of IEPs, documentation, and educational best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and families
- Must complete district-required fingerprinting and technological compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect OT services to assigned students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess students and develop individualized plans geared to maximize functional independence
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Contribute to evaluation and eligibility meetings as needed
- Maintain timely, compliant documentation per school and federal guidelines
