We’re seeking experienced Occupational Therapists comfortable working independently in diverse educational settings. Two full-time positions are available — one covering a flexible school year schedule, and another for a maternity leave expected to run from August through March.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California OT license
- Prior experience in California school-based settings
- Proficiency in administering the BOT 3 and Peabody assessments for ages 3-22
- Familiarity working with students with multiple and diverse disabilities, from mild to severe
- Demonstrated skill in using assessment data to address parent concerns and recommend student services
- Capable of managing a fluctuating caseload and adapting to evolving assessment/consultation demands
- Independence and self-direction: must create work schedules based on district needs and function primarily in the field without routine supervision or support
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish speakers strongly encouraged to apply, but not required
Responsibilities Include:
- Travel between school sites to provide OT assessments, direct therapy, and consultations
- Collaborate with teachers, staff and families to ensure the best outcomes for students with varying needs
- Analyze data to support IEP recommendations and clearly communicate findings to parents and school teams
- Prioritize, organize, and manage your own daily schedules according to district priorities
- Adapt to changing caseloads and classroom environments as student needs evolve
