School Occupational Therapist - San Bernardino, California

Step into a pivotal contract opportunity supporting students from PreK through adult transition (ages 3-22) across six school sites near San Bernardino, CA. This flexible, itinerant position is ideal for occupational therapists passionate about impacting diverse student populations and who thrive in autonomous, field-based roles.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Active and current Occupational Therapist license for California
- Direct experience working in California schools
- Proficient in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments to students with multiple disabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of supporting K-12 and transition-age students with mild to severe caseloads
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, address parent concerns, and develop effective service recommendations
- Comfortable independently creating and managing a fluctuating caseload and schedule, in response to changing district needs
- At least 70-80 students on caseload; no cap on the number requiring assessment or consultation
- Strong collaboration and time-management skills to efficiently provide itinerant services across multiple sites
- Spanish bilingual skills are advantageous, though not required
- OTAs are not considered for this role; the position requires autonomy in the field without supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services to a designated caseload across multiple district school sites
- Conduct thorough evaluations, assessments, and consultations, adapting to diverse student abilities and needs
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families, using data-driven insights to tailor interventions and advocate for student success
- Create and adjust individualized treatment plans while maintaining thorough documentation
