Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based position in San Bernardino, CA. This opportunity offers the chance to support students with diverse learning and developmental needs while working alongside a collaborative team of educators, families, and related service providers.
The ideal candidate will help students develop the functional skills necessary to access their educational environment and achieve greater independence both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct therapy services to students
- Assess and address fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, functional, and developmental needs
- Develop and implement occupational therapy services aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Support students in accessing and participating in their educational environment
Qualifications
- Active California Occupational Therapist License and applicable credentials
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
- School-based, pediatric, or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of special education services, IEP development, and student-centered interventions
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
