Embark on an engaging full-time opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist serving elementary students near San Diego, CA! This contract role runs from October 5, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering the chance to make a positive impact within a collaborative educational environment. You'll provide direct occupational therapy services across two elementary campuses while working with supportive staff members to help young learners reach important milestones.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in California
- Experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged children, is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Organizational skills for managing a caseload across multiple sites
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in educational activities
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Complete evaluations, develop treatment plans, and conduct regular progress monitoring
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student needs and promote carryover of skills
- Document services and maintain records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Travel between two elementary school locations as part of your weekly schedule
- Provide input and participate in IEP meetings as required
