Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Compassion, flexibility, and adaptability in dynamic environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the classroom and therapy settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation for compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom modifications
- Educate school personnel on OT-related strategies to promote student engagement
- Adapt interventions to meet a variety of functional and sensory-motor needs across grade levels
