Qualifications & Experience:
- California licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Demonstrated experience in school-based OT services
- Skilled in addressing fine and gross motor skill development
- Background working with early childhood and elementary-aged students (Pre K–Grade 5), as well as middle school populations
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and an enthusiastic approach to engaging students of varying ability levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ motor skills and develop targeted, individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy sessions to support motor, sensory, and self-help skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to integrate strategies into classroom routines
- Document progress, maintain timely records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Support students in achieving greater independence within the school environment
