Occupational Therapist School Setting in San Jose, CA

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current California state OT license or eligibility for licensure
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience preferred
- Comfort working with diverse K-12 caseloads, including students with various needs
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to improve students' fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
- Document services, progress notes, and evaluation results in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and consultations with educational staff and families
- Educate staff and families on strategies and adaptive techniques to support student learning
- Maintain timely and accurate records according to state and federal regulations
