This onsite, contract opportunity near San Jose, CA offers the chance to support students’ growth and independence in a dynamic educational environment. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week for the full 22/23 school year, collaborating with an engaged team and interacting closely with students to help them reach their potential.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
- Experience working in school-based settings, with a preference for high school caseloads
- Background in home health, healthcare, or teletherapy OT is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, both with students and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individual student needs and educational goals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services onsite to high school students, addressing a variety of developmental, physical, and sensory needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Evaluate student progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster carryover of therapy strategies in the classroom and at home
- Attend IEP meetings and provide input as a valued member of the educational team
