Step into an impactful contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services at a vibrant elementary school in the San Juan Capistrano area. This role is ideal for a skilled Occupational Therapist who excels in fast-paced, supportive educational environments, and is ready to offer essential services to students during a current leave of absence.
You will be working on site with a dedicated team, supporting students from kindergarten through elementary ages. The position offers a flexible start, continuing through April. Full-time hours are available, but part-time applicants will also be considered.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active California OT license required
- At least one year of school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
- Ability to adapt to changes and work effectively amidst evolving district needs
- Eager to collaborate with educators, families, and educational support teams
- Willingness to work exclusively as an OT (COTAs will not be considered)
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy services to elementary students
- Evaluate, develop, and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Document and track progress toward IEP goals and maintain compliance standards
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate closely with faculty and parents to support educational outcomes
