Occupational Therapist School Setting in San Mateo, CA
Step into a fulfilling opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, supporting high school and post-secondary aged students in an engaging educational environment near San Mateo, CA. This full-time, contract role runs from now through June 5th, with the potential to extend into future years. You’ll collaborate closely with another dedicated OT, and your work will entirely be in-person, providing a dynamic, hands-on experience with students.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in California
- Previous experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare OT settings
- Background with high school and young adult populations is highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable collaborating with fellow therapists and educational staff
- Commitment to working on-site, Monday through Friday (35 hours/week)
- Open to travel professionals seeking a new adventure
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for students with diverse needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct interventions and support within a school setting
- Collaborate with another OT to coordinate caseload and share expertise
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as necessary
- Serve as a resource to educational teams, students, and families
