Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license
- Certification as an OT required
- Experience—either clinical or in school settings—serving students in elementary, middle, or high schools
- Understanding of various learning needs, adaptations, and interventions for school-aged children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation effectively
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in IEPs and 504 plans
- Support classroom staff with strategies, adaptations, and resources that foster student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff trainings
- Promote independence, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation within the educational setting
