Help support student success and well-being as a contracted Occupational Therapist at two local school sites near Santa Ana, CA. This opportunity offers a chance to make a lasting impact, working with students to enhance their academic and functional skills within the educational environment.
This position is available for an immediate start and is anticipated to continue through December 1, 2026, with the potential for extension. The interview window remains open as we seek to fill this final role with a passionate and skilled OT dedicated to school-based practice.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure for California.
- School-based OT experience required; comfort navigating the nuances of educational settings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads at multiple school sites.
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in school routines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students’ therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on classroom participation and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with educators and other support professionals to integrate therapy goals into students’ educational programs.
- Document progress, prepare required reports, and participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member.
- Travel between two local school sites as part of a 40-hour work week.
