Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and relevant certifications
- Strong proficiency in fine motor skills development and visual motor integration
- Experience with sensory integration and processing strategies
- Prior work in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Familiarity with K-12 education standards and practices
- Ability to conduct evaluations, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Skillful goal writer and adept at documentation for IEP meetings
- Effective communicator and active participant in multidisciplinary team discussions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify needs and design individualized intervention plans
- Implement therapy sessions focusing on fine/visual motor skills and sensory processing
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Write clear, measurable goals and contribute to student IEPs
- Attend and actively participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for a diverse student population
