Occupational Therapist (OT) School-Based Contract
We are seeking a dedicated, student-focused Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping children develop the functional, sensory, and motor skills needed to succeed in the educational environment. Position Details
Location: Santa Ana, California
Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Employment Type: School-based contract through ProCare Therapy
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: Through the end of the current school year
School-based services supporting students with varying occupational therapy needs
Caseload, schedule, and student needs to be discussed during the interview process
Pay Based on Experience- $50-68 an hour
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting
Assess student needs and develop individualized therapy goals
Implement interventions targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and functional independence
Support students in accessing classroom activities and participating in the educational environment
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and related service providers
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service records
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate student goals, as needed
Promote student independence, engagement, and overall success throughout the school day
Requirements
Active California Occupational Therapist license
Experience working with children in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred
Knowledge of occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and documentation
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to supporting students with diverse developmental and educational needs
