Occupational Therapist (OT) – School-Based
Location: Santa Ana, CA
School Year: 2026–2027
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based contract position in Santa Ana, California.
This opportunity is available from December 14 through June 4 and is ideal for an experienced school-based occupational therapist looking to join a collaborative educational team. The selected OT will work closely with students and staff to support student success while partnering with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help deliver high-quality services.
This position requires prior school-based experience and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' functional, academic, and developmental growth throughout the remainder of the school year.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct therapy services to students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Supervise and work alongside a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-help, and classroom participation skills
Qualifications
• Active California Occupational Therapist license required
• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or higher from an accredited program required
• Previous school-based experience required
• Experience collaborating with support staff and multidisciplinary teams preferred
