Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist licensure
- Prior experience working with elementary school-aged children (TK-5th preferred)
- Strong understanding of school-based OT evaluation and intervention practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
- Familiarity with IEPs and documentation requirements
- Energetic, patient, and creative approach to supporting diverse student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Implement direct and consultative OT services in classroom and small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers and staff on strategies for enhancing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress monitoring
- Maintain compliance with all relevant reporting, documentation, and licensure standards
- Communicate regularly with caregivers to ensure consistent support across home and school environments
