Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Ability to assess and address diverse student needs
- Flexibility to manage a dynamic caseload and collaborate within an educational team
- Knowledge of current therapy techniques and interventions for school-aged children
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine student needs for occupational therapy
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans tailored for each student
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within classroom activities
- Support students with activities of daily living, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and regulation
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to ensure student success
- Maintain organized and timely documentation of services provided and student progress
- Provide resources and training to school staff on relevant OT strategies and accommodations
